Faint Not Annie, OIC

Faint Not
Annie, OIC

Deut. 20:1,3,4
When you go fourth into battle (spiritual) against your enemies and you see their army is greater than yours, do not be afraid nor dismaid, or be in fear of them, for it is the lord your God, whom has brought you out of Egypt,( The house of bondage) it is He that is with you….let not your mind be troubled, nor let your heart faint: fear not, do not tremble, nor be ye terrified, do not dread them, for the Lord your God goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to save you..

What an awesome verse to read about when it seems like everything and everybody is coming against you no matter what you try to do: there someone else comes to put a spiritual dart in your spirit. The question I am asking myself is, is this attack of God trying to strengthen me or is it of the devil trying to destroy me?
Either way I am holding on to this verse that strongly tells me that God will fight it for me. I don’t have to. All I need do is stand on His word.

The faint in heart however, can not take much which is where I usually am. I am guilty of fleeing when times get tough especially in the Spirit because I cant see where I am going most of the time. When we are in an emotional state of mind we can not take much especially those of us who have already had a lot of abusive relationships. The first sign of trouble Im out the door. Fear, lack of commitment to God or faint at heart. Either way, the faint of heart have to have everything going their way to stick it out. We do that with God to, first sign of hard times were back in our carnal state, out of our spiritual journey and back on the paved light road to destruction until we hit a bump and then its back to the narrow and difficult road we go. Especially if God is leading us to new levels we have prayed for but did not quite know when it was coming. All the sudden there it is a new spirital level. It causes emotional fear.

I can relate, I get discouraged about the pettiest things and very depressed at times I cry over nothing, there are times I feel like a conduit, where I can feel a little bit of what others are feeling. These times can be scary and make me want to shut down my spiritual senses. These are the times I want to stop feeling anything. What do we do about it? What do we do when we are faint of heart? We throw our hands up and say “God I cant do this it is to hard”. “This is too much for me. Your putting to much on me at one time.”

I am so thankful that Jesus does not do that to me. He is a gentleman He waits. I thank God that through Jesus Christ my Lord I do not have to stay this way, I do not have to be a spiritual mess. There is power and anointing through Jesus Christ my Lord that can and in fact is breaking my faint hearted spirit. He is helping me to stand strong for Him and in my faith. He can and will for you to, just believe and it shall be done. I will say I can do all things through Christ who is within me and gives me the strength I need.

Lord Jesus Christ, I pray our prayers will come to your throne as incense. Let the lifting of my hands be as an evening sacrifice. In Jesus name. amen. psalm 141:2
